Visit the valley of Chopta for a life-altering experience and expand the boundaries of your physical horizon. Chopta is possibly the only valley in Uttarakhand that has minor human alteration and a right place for intermediate trekkers to brush up their skills while exploring locally renowned tourist spots like the Tungnath Temple and the Deoria Tal, which are both accessible after a well-guided trek.
Talking about the rare opportunities that Chopta of what cannot be missed is the Kanchularak Musk Deer Sanctuary, which attracts wildlife enthusiasts who are into exploring rare Himalayan animal species. Chopta slopes on solely among alpine and grassy meadows, and in this valley of abstract but absolute natural beauty, one does actually stand at any hilltop and spin around as a practice of spamming the multitude of peaks visible. Chandrashilla is the summit of the Tungnath. It literally means "Moon Rock." It is located at the height of about 3,700 meters above sea level.
Detailed Itinerary
Start - Journey Starts From Delhi
- The journey will start from the pick-up point in Delhi (Most probably Keshav Puram Metro Station) at 7:00 PM approximately. (The seller will send you the exact time and location after the booking)
- It will be an overnight journey to Chopta via Traveller or an SUV.
Day 1 - Reach Chopta | Sightseeing at Chopta
- By morning, we reach Chopta and then will do Check-in to our camps and take some rest for a while & then have a delicious lunch.
- After having lunch, it's time to explore the enchanting meadows of Chopta.
- Chopta has a diverse collection of pictorial sights to fascinate the visitors, which is marvelously engulfed by huge vegetation in spring and summer. It is appealing to all eyes during winter, too, since the thick cover of snow will be an amusing part of the region.
- Come back in the evening, rest for a while, and then you'll be served with evening snacks.
- Later on, we'll have a bonfire party while having dinner.
- You'll spend tonight in your comfortable swiss camps.
Day 2 - Trek to Tungnath and then Chandrashila Peak
- Today, we will start early in the morning after having breakfast.
- We will start our trek for Tungnath Temple (the highest Shiva Temple in the world), and then we hike to Chadrashila top, which will take around 7-8 hours to complete.
- After reaching Tungnath, situated at the height of 12,073 ft., you will get a clear vision of the splendid view of Chandrashila peak.
- Trek upwards few more minutes, and there you go, on top of Chandrashila peak. You can enjoy the 360-degree majestic views of the most notable peaks like Nanda Devi, Bandarpunchh, Chaukhamba, Kedar Peak & Dronagiri just in front of you.
- After spending some time here, we'll go back to Chopta camp.
- After reaching our campsite, we'll have a bonfire and then dinner.
- Relax and enjoy the star glanced night by staying in tents.
Day 3 - Exploring Deoriatal Lake
- The day starts with an energetic cup of tea/coffee in front of a beautiful sunrise view, and then we'll have our breakfast.
- We'll check out from the camps and drive to Sari village, which is approximately 30 mins away from our campsite.
- From Sari village, we will go on a short two and a half hours trek to Deoriatal Lake.
- Deoriatal is a dreamlike lake that is surrounded by the snow-clad mountains. The forests around here are lovely. You’ll be able to see and hear several rare Himalayan birds. It's a perfect place for photographers and nature explorers.
- After enjoying magnificent views of Chaukhamba Peaks at Deoriatal, we'll trek back to Sari village.
- It's time to depart, and we'll take a long drive from Sari to Delhi in the evening.
End - Back To Delhi
- We'll reach Delhi by early morning, and it's time to go back to our sweet home with a lot of photographs & lifetime memories.

- Eventskite and the seller both will not entertain any refunds/adjustments in case of any natural factors arising during the trip, resulting in a change in the itinerary/transportation due to which any extra cost is beared. That cost has to be beared by the travelers only.
- Cost and consequences arising due to any major force situations, due to unforeseen circumstances like natural calamities (like landslides, roadblocks, route changes, etc.), political disturbances, health issues, delays/cancellations, things beyond our control, etc. will be borne by the traveler.
- Any damage to the seller's booked properties/transportation by any individual will be charged from that person only.
- Eventskite and the seller both will not be responsible for any injury/mishappenings because of any such activities which are prohibited.
- Any refund applicable will be processed within 14 business days.

- Do not throw plastic bags here and there and try to maintain the decorum of the Himalayas.
- Never take any medicines without consulting the trek guides.
- If you don't know much about the place then don't roam around without a guide because mountains are unpredictable.
- Avoid any kind of anti-religious comments and activity to respect the local religion, local people as well as your batch mates.
- Carry your identity proofs like Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID etc.
- Follow the Guidelines issued by the State-Government during your whole journey.
- Maintain social distancing in all manners.
